JAMES COLLIN, known to many as Jim is an experienced breaker, trainer, Level 2 EA NCAS Dressage Specialist Coach and successful FEI dressage rider.

As a professional in his field for over 20 years and with a Bachelor of Management in Equine Business through the University of Sydney under his belt, Jim has a rich wealth of knowledge and an abundant reputation as an excellent horseman, which can be seen throughout the endless winning State and National mounts he has produced for himself and an array of clients.

A Warmblood that shouldn't go without mention is the WYNDEMERE gelding SOUTHERLY, who of recent times has been sold. Together with TEMPE LEES Jim bought SOUTHERLY in 2009 as a Novice graded horse. The partnership grew from strength to strength and together they powered up the grades. Jim trained SOUTHERLY to Grand Prix movements and successfully campaigned him at State and National level in FEI Prix St George and Inter 1, during one of their final competitions together, The Canberra Classic 2015 they finished in the top 3 for the FEI Prix St George.

Jim also campaigned the WELTMEYER gelding NEVERSFELDE WELTSONG bred by Maurice & Jane Bruce. NSW State Championships 2011 Jim rode NEVERSFELDE WELTSONG to 2nd place in both the FEI Inter 1 and FEI Prix St George, followed by placing in the top 10 at Australian Dressage Nationals 2011, their last event together was Dressage With Altitude where they placed 3rd in the FEI Prix St George. NEVERSFELDE WELTSONG was later sold to Malaysia.

As a Level 2 EA NCAS Coach Jim has developed his own unique teachings as a coach for riders of all ages and riding capabilities. Jim is known for his patience & harmony towards horse & rider, a talented eye for solving certain areas a rider may be struggling with and always having a positive outlook with a can do attitude. Jim has successfully taught young riders towards winning Interschool Championships and the less experienced rider to gain confidence for just every day riding.

Jim is available for lessons all year round and if you are local on the South Coast he will come to you! If you are not situated in the local area there are always a regular clinic held in Canberra and Newcastle regions with further clinics happening in the state of Victoria begining 2017.

Jim is also available to take on horses for breaking in and training at his new property at Beach road, Berry. This property includes safe facilities for training with round yard, sand post and rail arena, along with beautiful stables, large post & rail turn out paddocks with shelters and all within 2hrs from Sydney.
